Peridise!
So at the same time I requested the Luna Beads from
Babeland.com, I also got the Peridise Beginner’s Set by Aneros. Two different toys for two different areas, both with similar goals: exercising obscure musculature (well, yeah, that and being really hot sex toys).
There are two sets of Peridise plugs, beginner’s and advanced. The beginner’s set is actually slightly larger, the theory being that stronger muscles can grip smaller toys. Even the larger Beginner’s set was smallish, and I’m pretty darn okay with that. I’ve had anal sex in the past, but I’ve never really played much with anal toys, and I have to admit I was a little nervous until I had the toys in hand.
The coin is there to give a sense of scale. The 20-sided die is there to give a sense of scale to my geek audience. 
The plugs are made of a hard plastic, but doesn’t have the slick feel of a non-porous material. Personally, I wouldn’t share these without a condom, even though I did find a post on the Aneros forums about boiling being safe. Does anybody have any information about the specific materials used and the possibility of sterilizing it? If so, please comment!
These little guys are designed specifically to hit the most pleasant nerves in the anal region, and they do deliver. Using a little of the Sliquid Sassy anal lube, the larger of the Peridise plugs slipped in quite easily and pleasantly. The base is flared enough that it’s safe, and small enough that you can wear it comfortably out and about, if one should so choose. Tightening around it was amazingly pleasant, and it was small enough that it didn’t feel invasive.
So last night I was writing the review for the Luna Beads, I tried the Peridise at the same time. Let me tell you, the two together were a really unique and very very distracting sensation. Even not moving around very much, it felt amazing. A muscle clenched here and there, and I was moaning… I had mentioned my experiment to CK over IM, and he suggested I get the Hitachi for my clit; apparently he thought it was going to be sad being left out of the party. (Edit: I’ve been reminded that I asked CK playfully if I should try the two together, and was answered with an emphatic yes.

I tried my Luna Beads out with my Pure Plug – talk about distracting! You’ll have to try it when you get yours!
Those are a lot smaller than I expected – it’s so hard to correctly judge sizes from a description, I’m glad you have that pic up there!
