Wartenberg wheel review!

Friday, January 23rd, 2009

The lovely, lovely Wartenberg Wheel! I was given the opportunity to review this lovely little thing by Sextoy.com…they have a great selection of sex toys to choose from.

The wartenberg wheel (sometimes called a pinwheel) is technically a pervertible; it’s a neurological tool. I found this nifty little guy in the BDSM and Fetish section at Sextoy.com. It’s a metal handle with a little circle attached. It looks like a pizza cutter, or maybe a spur. There are tiny sharp points running all round the circle, so when you run the tool over skin it gives lovely little prickly sensations. If you have a light hand there are no worries of skin being broken. A heavy hand…well, sometimes that’s okay too. ;)

CK tested the wheel on me, then I returned the favor. It’s handy being a switch…I get to experience both sides of the toys. So he started very lightly on my shoulderblades, the pinpoints gliding over my skin. As simple as this little thing is, I simply melted. My muscles relaxed, my eyes closed, and I damn near purred. CK traced patterns over my back and shoulders, sometimes light and tickling, sometimes harder and sharper. At this point, he used my new evil stick on several spots on my back, making me squirm (well, squirm and call him a motherfucker quite loudly. The damn thing hurts!); he resumed running the wheel over my back, making sure to include the welts left by the little stick. The sensation was sharper and stronger on the welts (go figure).

After a while, he had an idea. I worry when CK utters the words “I have an idea!!”. It generally means some part of me is gonna be in pain, usually my nipples, and this time was no exception. He had me take off my top, unhooked my bra, and grabbed the evil stick and the wartenberg wheel again. He teased and tugged at my nipples until they were sensitive and tight, then ran the wheel very very lightly over them…and let me tell you, that was pretty freaking awesome. I love sharp prickly sensations, sharp and stingy. While I was purring happily, CK used the evil stick on those same poor unsuspecting nipples. WOW that hurt, and a lot. I love that thing…the welts from the stick sensitized my nipples even more, made them warm and made me whimper.

My turn with the wheel was fun, too. I experimented with varying speeds, pressures and spots; it was easy to find sensitive spots with the lovely little thing. Ticklish spots, too. A little more pressure and I could get a little sound out of him; running it lightly over a nipple made his eyes close and his head drop back. A little more pressure and some speed across his back left a fun little dotted line, like perforations on paper. ;)

Obviously if this toy draws blood it needs to be sterilized before use on another person. To be safe, I recommend sterilizing it between victims whether blood is drawn or not. I used a 10% bleach solution, spraying it on, letting it dry, then polishing off the spots that resulted. If anyone has a more efficient way of safely cleaning this particular toy, recommendations are always welcome.

This toy definitely gets good marks. Thanks, Sextoy.com!

Clover clamps.

Monday, November 24th, 2008

Okay, so we tried ‘em out the other day (no, no pictures this time; got too distracted. Next time. :) ).

I have very sensitive nipples that will respond well to the lightest of touches, caresses, and kisses. They can also take (and respond well to) quite a lot of pain. Honestly, I’m not really sure how that can be, but I’m not complaining.

I have a pair of tweezer-style clamps that have yet to be put on me by someone other than myself testing ‘em. They’re interesting, but I have a feeling that if someone else put them on me, they’d end up being far meaner about it than I was to myself. So while interesting, nothing too insane. They also slipped off relatively easily when tugged on.

When I got the clovers, I tried one on my finger. It was supertight, and not only stayed put when tugged on but got even tighter. I got nervous. ;)

The other night CK and I were watching a movie (Street Kings. Quite good, if you’re into gritty cop dramas) and when the movie was over we just cuddled for a bit. After a little while, he said “I got an idea!” and got up to dig through my toybag. He came back with the clamps and a grin, and I got even more nervous.

There was a little warmup play, with the boy teasing and tugging and pinching my nipples. After a few moments (next time, I think more of a warmup should be in order, but we were both pretty eager to try the new toys), he clamped one of the clovers onto my left nipple.

Holy shit. As hard as my nipples have been bitten and pinched, there was something more intense about this thing, and I think I whimpered. He paused to watch my reaction and make sure I was okay (partially just because I think he enjoyed the reaction), then moved to my other nipple, teasing, tugging, and finally clamping it.

The boy started teasing me then, lightly stroking the still-exposed tips of my nipples and tugging periodically on the chain connecting the two heavy clamps. I was being very vocal, crying out and whimpering, and I simply couldn’t help it. It was insanely intense. He tugged on them once to get my attention, then said “Count backwards from ten.”

At this point, my brain wasn’t focusing enough to do any such thing…but he kept prompting and tugging until I had no choice but to start the count, calling him an asshole in the process. He got a huge kick out of that, I think. *grin* I counted backwards, needing occasional prompting (read: tugging) as to the order of the numbers, and when I reached one he quickly took off the left clamp.

Holy shit AGAIN. I’d heard they hurt more coming off…but didn’t realize the extent until just then. I cried out loudly in pain and surprise, and he quickly put pressure on the poor abused nipple to let the pain subside slightly. The right went just the same, and damn. It hurt like hell, and it drove me completely insane. The clamps had been on for maybe two minutes.

We went through the same process again, and I realized that I both love and hate those damn clover clamps. *grin* I can’t wait for more experimentation…

By the way, did you realize that clover clamps are named that because they’re made by a company called “Clover”? And that their actual use is as a sewing accessory? They’re called ‘bird clamps’. I got the link from Cheap BDSM Toys. I found that link on one of the DIY groups on Fetlife. And if you haven’t checked Fetlife out yet, do so. I’m Pantherapardus there. :)

Quickie Post

Friday, October 24th, 2008

Just wanted to let you guys know I’m still around, and I’ll be doing at least a couple of posts in the next couple of days.  Family issues are calming down and will hopefully be back to normal in a month or so.

Posts upcoming: Humor and fun in BDSM. A review of the Bandito (thanks, Essin’ Em!). Possibilities for moving the blog. A little introspection (yes, again, introspection). More pervertibles. More DIYs and How-tos.

So look forward to those, and more.  In the next few weeks, I’ll also be starting to review products for Babeland.com, which is a supercool thing. If you’ll look on the right of this page, you’ll notice a Babeland graphic. Click on that if you decide to shop, kay? ;)

More later.

Pervertibles, First Installment!

Wednesday, October 8th, 2008

I’d like to make this a semi-regular installment on this blog. We’ll see how it goes.

The word ‘pervertible’ is not a word I coined, but my personal definition of it is this: something that is marketed as a mundane item that can be used in a decidedly different, and kinky, way.

I consider it different from DIY. Pervertibles are things that are usable as they are, or with very minor alterations. The DIY stuff consists of toys made from other things, if you get the distinction.

This first installment will consist of things I’ve already picked up, where I got the item and approximate pricing. The ones I’ve used I’ll review. ;)

1. Dish Brush. Dollar Tree. $1.

This worked really well. The wide head full of stiff bristles got nice squirming, and the little bitty area of even stiffer scrubbing bristles on the backside (when I wrote this, I meant backside of the brush, but backside of the victim works in this context too. :) ) got even more. This experiment was a success.

2. Mini-Duster. Dollar Tree. $1.

I figured this for a tickling kind of toy, but it wasn’t as effective as I’d hoped. I may go for a second test run of it with a different bottom (and different body parts).

3. Flipper. Dollar Tree. $1.

This was a fun one. *grin* It’s hard plastic, but just very slightly flexible. It gets a nice snap on various body parts. This was a very good success.

4. Wooden ‘paddle’. Craft store. < $1.

This thing was even labeled ‘paddle’! Very nice, very stingy, completely nondescript. Another success.

5. Various and sundry clothespins, pegs, and clamps. Dollar Tree. $1 each pack. (cat not included)

Wow, these worked well. I’d never played with these guys before Saturday night (either on myself or others). I used the metal ones on DB for just a few minutes (he hadn’t used any quite that tight before). When they did finally come off and the blood started coming back…that was fun to watch. *grin* Now, the wooden ones: CK and I were doing a little playing last night(not a full-on scene, just a little fun) and he dragged ‘em out. All I have to say is: wooooow. Best buck I ever spent. My nipples are still sore and supersensitive. I think I may coat the bitey end of a few of the wooden ones in tool dip for easier cleaning (in case I end up using ‘em somewhere other than nipples. *grin*). Big success!

6. Loofah glove. Dollar Tree. $1.

Mildly scratchy surface. I haven’t used this one yet, but I think it’ll be interesting when I do.

7. Handled cutting board. Old Pottery (inexpensive kitchen/decorative stuff). $1.99.

This is going to be a very effective paddle, I think. *grins evilly* I find myself walking through dollar stores, craft stores and kitchen stores smacking various things as subtly as possible against my thigh to test its pervertibility quotient. ;) This was my latest treasure.

Like I said, I hope to make this at least a semi-regular thing. I’ll post websites as I find them. If any of you have any ideas or interesting sites, send ‘em my way! There’s an email link below. Pictures are always welcome, and I’ll include any submissions in a future installment, credited to the submitter. :)
